SD62 Curricular Development Opportunities

SD 62’s District Curriculum and Learning team provides opportunities and services to support our learners and teachers.

The team invites is committed to on-going collaboration that focuses on deep student learning tied to the BC Curriculum redesign, with a focus on Literacy, Numeracy or Inquiry.

We continually explore the big questions: Whats going on for our learners? How do we know? Why does this matter?

British Columbia’s K-12 curriculum has been redesigned in response to the demanding world our students are entering.  Transformation in curriculum will help teachers create learning environments that are both engaging and personalized for students. At the heart of British Columbia’s redesigned curriculum are core competencies, essential learning and literacy and numeracy foundations: curriculum.gov.bc.ca/home

The K-10 curriculum is currently being used, with grades 11 and 12 being implemented as of July 1, 2019.
