How do we help all of our learners thrive as mathematical thinkers?
Building on the successful learning teams inquiry framework of CR4YR (Changing Results for Young Readers), our district field-tested Changing Results for Young Mathematicians in the 2014-2015 school year. This embedded teacher inquiry framework includes pursuing effective whole class numeracy instruction as well as a case study approach to developing number sense for young learners.
Due to the overall success of this project for both students and teachers, we are now in our third year of this collaborative teacher inquiry, focussing on helping all of our learners in K-5 thrive as mathematical thinkers. This inquiry project is co-facilitated by Vivian Collyer and Laura Lancaster.
